UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS BRISTOL AND WESTON NHS FOUNDATION TRUST
The University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust was formed by the merger of Weston Area Health NHS Trust and University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). The University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is the name of the newly formed Trust. The new Trust, which employs more than 13,000 people, offers more than 100 different healthcare services across ten distinct sites, serving a core population of more than 500,000 people in the process.
They care for the residents of Bristol, Weston, and the surrounding areas from the beginning of life to its later stages, offering services ranging from the neonatal critical care unit to the elderly. Their employees are the organization's lifeblood. They offer surgical services to residents of central Bristol, south Bristol, and north Somerset, in addition to traditional diagnostic and medical services. Some of these services are provided in community settings, such as South Bristol Community Hospital, while others are provided on our Bristol city centre campus and at Weston General Hospital, among other places. Their specialised services, which include children's services, cardiac and cancer care, and other smaller, nationally commissioned specialist services, benefit a larger population throughout the south west and beyond. By joining forces, they will have the exciting and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to combine everything that is wonderful about Weston and University Hospitals Bristol to create something even better that will be recognised as a beacon for outstanding education, research, and innovation.
KNOW THE LOCATION
Bristol is a city in southwest England that sits on the banks of the River Avon and has a rich maritime history. Its historic city centre harbour has been transformed into the Harbourside, a cultural hub that houses the M Shed museum, which highlights the city's social and industrial history. Restaurants, stores, and cultural institutions such as The Arnolfini, a modern art gallery, now occupy the harbour's nineteenth-century warehouses.
Bristol is well-known for its harbour, architectural diversity, and contributions to the arts and sciences. It's famous for the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, and a rich history filled with swashbuckling pirates and North American expeditions.

Bristol is the region's leading centre for business, culture, and education, and it is home to two world-class universities, the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England. In order to prepare students for life in the workforce, the two institutions offer high-quality instruction and excellent research facilities.
Transport
Bus: First West of England is the area's most important operator. Bristol Community Transport, Stagecoach West, Abus, National Express, Megabus, and Stagecoach South West are among the other operators. Several depots are located throughout the city, including Parson Street, Lawrence Hill, Hengrove, and Searle Crescent. Bristol has an extensive network of bus services that operate after midnight, with several services operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. So, whether you're taking the bus for work or a night out, take advantage of our late night services for a cheap and dependable ride home. The metrobus network currently consists of three routes: the m1, m2, and m3, which serve a large portion of Bristol. The m3x is a fast commuter service that follows the m3 route but skips UWE Frenchay in favour of a direct route from Cabot Circus to Hambrook, significantly shortening journey times.
Train: Bristol is a must-see destination because it is the regional hub of the national rail network in the West of England. Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station and Bristol Parkway Railway Station, both operated by the Great Western Railway and other major train operators, provide local, regional, and inter-city rail services. MetroWest (previously known as Greater Bristol Metro) was launched in 2009 as a project to improve train services in Bristol and its surrounding area.
Ferry: Subject to government regulations, visitors are now permitted to board the Bristol Ferry Boats. This will result in shorter operating times and a decrease in capacity. Weather permitting, the "Mary Brunel" operates our Cross Harbour service between Hanover Quay and the S.S. Great Britain seven days a week. During these hours, the ferry operates on a demand basis rather than on a set schedule. The cost per person is £1.20.

Furthermore, it has previously been named the best place to study, one of the top five most inspiring cities, and even one of the top ten cities in the world.
Bristol Cathedral and the almost as stunning St. Mary Redcliffe Church, as well as the Royal York Crescent, Europe's longest residential crescent – and, of course, the world-famous Clifton Suspension Bridge – are all located in this historic city.
Bristol is a vibrant and exciting city that attracts the fashionable from all over the United Kingdom. Despite not being known for its beaches, a one-hour drive will bring you to a variety of options for a day at the beach.
